Carla Ozawa
Assistant Teacher

Mireille was born in Paris, France and grew up in a little town thirty minutes from the capital. She owns a Bachelor of Art degree in educational sciences and a formal teaching degree from the French government. After teaching a couple of years in France, she moved to California in 2007.

Los Angeles was her first stop. There, she taught 5th grade at the "Lycée Français". She visited San Francisco over Thanksgiving and liked it so much, she decided to move to "the city".

Before founding “Mon petit village”, Mireille worked for 7 years at the French American International School in San Francisco where she taught Pre-K and 2nd grade.

To better serve young children, she took Early Childhood Education classes toward a Child Development Teacher Permit. She is excited to combine the best of the French and the American teaching approaches.

She is the proud mother of two girls: Thea and Leyla born in 2012 and 2015. Mireille has a passion for photography, drama and the great outdoors.

Carla loves being a Mom to her two teenage boys and Aunty to many nieces and nephews.  She is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

After her youngest was born, she decided to stay home with her kids so that she could be involved in their classrooms and at the schools.  Her favorite volunteer activity was coordinating the school’s Art program, and seeing the creativity in each child. She also volunteered in the school offices to help families and students with school-related needs.

She has lived in the Bay Area since 1991 and enjoys running, gardening and being a San Francisco Giants fan.

Carla quickly became our science specialist and helps the children discover the world through their 5 senses. She loves seeing the excitement in a child’s face when they learn something new.

Meaghan O'Connell
Assistant Teacher

Pascale was born and raised in France. She lived in Paris , but also in Normandy and Germany before arriving in California in 2000. She holds a History of Arts and Museum Studies degree from the "Ecole du Louvre" in Paris.

She worked in the art business and in various museums for 15 years, creating and developing art programs for kids.

When she arrived in San Mateo, she dedicated her time to raise her daughters Louise (1991) and Henriette (1996) and volunteered at their schools to help with art projects . During this time, Pascale also assisted parents with special education concerns, as one of her daughters is in the autistic spectrum.

Coming from a family of restaurateurs, Pascale loves cooking traditional French cuisine. She is an avid art collector and enjoys crafting fabrics.

Now that her daughters are off to college, Pascale is very proud to work at "Mon Petit Village" and is excited about its high standards for children's well being and education. She is very happy to teach the preschool children as if they were her own grandchildren.

Meaghan grew up in Millbrae, California right above the San Francisco airport.  She attended Meadows Elementary School, Taylor Middle School and Mills High School before relocating to Redwood City.

She is very active and was a competitive cheerleader and gymnast for 6 years.  She enjoys outdoor activities, arts and crafts and cooking.  Since  graduating from West Bay High School and relocating to San Mateo, Meaghan has worked in the medical and legal fields.

Meaghan has always had a passion for children and has aspired to be a teacher and seek a future in child education and psychology.  She hopes to attend college to reach her goals and aspirations.

Meaghan is excited to work at Mon Petit Village Preschool so she can both teach and learn from the students. Meaghan’s positive and outgoing attitude will be a great value and she hopes to be a young role model for the preschool children.
